I am a Hermit. Where do the points go and where do I train?
iWhat Hermit build and leveling, Lv 70-120 is
A shadow that repeats everything you do, plus the branch’s crowd attack. This page is the climb from 70 to 120: what to stand on in each band and which quests are worth the detour. The Hermit page has the other half - every skill, the whole SP order with its levels worked out, and the gear behind it.

CoT2: From Closed Online Test 2 (Beta 2). Not in the Public Release; kept here as a record.Hermit is a 3rd job, and the Public Release has no 3rd job. This guide is Closed Online Test 2’s: the class, its skills and the Ossyria maps it trains on are kept here as a record, each marked, and may look different when the job comes back. Where the points go

: LUK

LUK is your damage and your evasion, and on a claw or a dagger a point of it is worth two to three points of anything else. Accuracy is mostly DEX: the formula reads DEX at twice LUK’s weight for every branch except magicians, and every claw above level 10 demands DEX anyway, so that requirement is doing double duty. STR you can nearly ignore - no claw asks for it and only two rungs of the dagger ladder do - but the damage formula still reads it as a secondary stat alongside DEX, so a stray point there is small rather than dead.

: the order, not the levels
  1. 1.+40% extra damage on everything else you do. It goes first.
  2. 2.Four monsters at last.
  3. 3.One point: a second jump in mid-air, and it opens once Avenger is at 5.
  4. 4.Five points, to open Shadow Meso.

The whole order, with the level each step lands at, is on the class page. It is kept in one place so the two cannot disagree.

What to watch
  • Shadow Meso needs Meso Saver at 5, and Flash Jump needs Avenger at 5.
  • Shadow Partner burns a Summoning Rock on every cast. Meso Saver burns a rock too, and the export cannot agree which: the skill names The Magic Rock, its own rank table says “Magic Stone -1”, and there is no item called a Magic Stone anywhere in the snapshot. The Magic Rock is the one to carry.
  • Shadow Meso literally spends mesos to deal damage, 500 every throw at max. On a boss that is worth it; on a training map it is a bill that runs all afternoon. Meso Saver charges mesos too, and it gets cheaper with rank rather than dearer: the five ranks the order below buys cost 26 times your level a cast, so 1,820 at level 70. Rank 20 is ten times your level, and the fifteen spare points are what buys it. How long either rank lasts is the one thing the export will not settle: its rank table says fourteen minutes at rank 5 and half an hour at rank 20, its duration column says twelve and twenty, and the chip on the card below reads the column.

Read off the item rows by the job each row names, so this list gains a type when the game does. Lower speed stages are faster; the attack speed page has what each stage means and what a Booster does to it.

The advancement

Closed Online Test 2 carried this class and every one of its skills, and the site models the advancement at level 70, after the level 30 one in Kerning City. No third-job advancement quest was in the test’s quest rows, and the Public Release has no third job at all, so nothing here tells you where to go for it.
