What is MapleStory Classic World?

What is actually in this version of the game?

Classic World is a re-cut of the game as it was before it grew, and every description of it elsewhere is an adjective. This one is a census: what the Public Release client’s own files contain, counted, then what the second closed test had and the release does not, and the things a returning player goes looking for and does not find. If any number here looks wrong, it is one file and one query away from being checked.

Victoria Island is most of the game. Ossyria is not in the Public Release: its maps, and Forgotten Hollow’s under Victoria Island, are kept from Closed Online Test 2 and counted in their own column, each page marked CoT2.

What people go looking for and do not find

Each of these is an absence checked against the rows rather than a rumour, and each is the kind that sends somebody to a guide written for a different version of the game.

A third-job advancement chainnoneThe Public Release has no 3rd job. The four second-job chains are filed under their branch name at level 30, and nothing is filed that way at 70 in either build. Closed Online Test 2 carried the skills (70 of them), kept here and marked CoT2, and no chain that grants them.

Ludibrium mapsnoneNo clock tower, no Eos Tower, no Alishar.

Pirate skillsnoneThe four original branches, and nothing else.

OssyrianoneOrbis and El Nath are not in the Public Release. Closed Online Test 2 had them, and the site keeps those maps (92 of them), marked CoT2. The station's Before Takeoff <To Orbis> is still in the release; Orbis itself is not.
