MapleStory Classic World F/P Wizard build and leveling guide, Lv 30-70

Lv 30-7012 min read
I am an F/P Wizard. Where do the points go and where do I train?
iWhat F/P Wizard build and leveling, Lv 30-70 is
Fire and poison. One big single-target attack with a burn on it, and a crowd attack that keeps ticking after you stop casting. This page is the climb from 30 to 70: what to stand on in each band and which quests are worth the detour. The F/P Wizard page has the other half - every skill, the whole SP order with its levels worked out, and the gear behind it.

Where the points go

: INT

INT for damage and for accuracy both, so there is no second stat to balance for the numbers - and one for the weapon. Fourteen of the seventeen wands and staves on the ladder below want LUK as well as INT: every rung above level 15, and one of the two at level 15, climbing to 65 LUK for the best of them at level 70. Spending nothing but INT is a real choice, and what it buys you is the level 15 wand for the rest of the game, so make it on purpose: AP does not come back.

: the order, not the levels
  1. 1.The attack you will press ten thousand times.
  2. 2.Three points, to open Meditation.
  3. 3.+25 magic attack, for you and anyone with you.
  4. 4.Distance. Being able to leave is a defensive skill and this class needs one.

The whole order, with the level each step lands at, is on the class page. It is kept in one place so the two cannot disagree.

What to watch
  • Poison does not stack with itself. A second cast on a poisoned monster refreshes it rather than doubling it.
  • Teleport is not damage and is still worth twenty points. A magician that can leave a bad platform does not die on it.
  • Slow is the skill this order leaves out. It is a good skill and there are not 20 points spare for it.

Read off the item rows by the job each row names, so this list gains a type when the game does. Lower speed stages are faster; the attack speed page has what each stage means and what a Booster does to it.

Where to stand

No map in the Public Release suits this band. The ones that would are Closed Online Test 2 maps, listed apart and marked on the training guide.

The advancement

You are here because you took the level 30 advancement in Ellinia. The Public Release stops there: it has no third job. Closed Online Test 2 had one, which the site models at level 70 and keeps marked CoT2, but no third-job advancement quest was in either build’s quest rows, so nothing here tells you where to go for it.
