MapleStory Classic World Fighter build and leveling guide, Lv 30-70

Lv 30-7012 min read
I am a Fighter. Where do the points go and where do I train?
iWhat Fighter build and leveling, Lv 30-70 is
The straight-damage arm of the warrior fork. Swords or axes, a party attack buff, and the skill that closes the gap for you. This page is the climb from 30 to 70: what to stand on in each band and which quests are worth the detour. The Fighter page has the other half - every skill, the whole SP order with its levels worked out, and the gear behind it.

Where the points go

: STR

STR is your damage on every warrior weapon, and DEX is both what lets you hold it and what makes it land. Do not treat DEX as spare: from level 20 up, every sword, axe and blunt weapon on the ladder below carries a DEX requirement alongside its STR one, reaching 65 by level 70. The accuracy formula is also kinder to a warrior’s DEX than to an archer’s, so the points you spend meeting the weapon are doing two jobs at once.

: the order, not the levels
  1. 1.Mastery lifts your minimum damage, which is where a warrior’s range hurts most. Swap in Axe Mastery (1100001) if you carry an axe.
  2. 2.One point. The attack speed arrives in full at rank 1.
  3. 3.The single largest damage gain available to you, and your party gets it too.
  4. 4.Now stop chasing: you cross the gap yourself, and six monsters get knocked back for it.

The whole order, with the level each step lands at, is on the class page. It is kept in one place so the two cannot disagree.

What to watch
  • Sword or axe, and then stay there. Every mastery, booster and Final Attack is per weapon type, so splitting the points buys you half a build twice.
  • A booster gives its full +2 attack speed stages at rank 1. The other nineteen ranks only make it last longer and cost less, so one point early is worth more than ten points now.
  • Rage lowers your weapon defence while it is up. On a warrior with 25% more HP than anyone else that is a trade worth making, but it is a trade.

Read off the item rows by the job each row names, so this list gains a type when the game does. Lower speed stages are faster; the attack speed page has what each stage means and what a Booster does to it.

Where to stand

No map in the Public Release suits this band. The ones that would are Closed Online Test 2 maps, listed apart and marked on the training guide.

The advancement

You are here because you took the level 30 advancement in Perion. The Public Release stops there: it has no third job. Closed Online Test 2 had one, which the site models at level 70 and keeps marked CoT2, but no third-job advancement quest was in either build’s quest rows, so nothing here tells you where to go for it.
