MapleStory Classic World client changelog: Closed Online Test 2 to the Public Release

Two new: Shade, a level 48 boss in the Cabin of the Forsaken, and the Orange Slime. Ninety-seven gone: the 40 that spawned only in Ossyria, and 57 the second test carried with no map to spawn on. Of the 62 revised, 40 give less EXP and 7 more (King Slime went from 248 to 2,400), 39 are harder to hit, and Zombie Mushmom went from level 50 to 55.

All 92 maps of Ossyria are gone, and 32 of Forgotten Hollow’s 33 with them, along with two developer test rooms and an old copy of Victoria Road: 127 in all. The one Forgotten Hollow map the release kept, Someone Else’s Grave, lost its name in it. The six new ones are on Victoria Island, Shade’s cabin among them. 103 of the 111 revised maps changed their mob rate, 65 down and 38 up.

Nothing new. The 70 removed are all 3rd job, seven for each of the ten classes. The 62 revised are all 1st and 2nd job: 59 were reworded, Rush, Slash Blast, Arrow Bomb, Iron Arrow and Poison Breath now hit six monsters instead of four while Holy Arrow hits one instead of three, Rush’s cooldown went from 1 second to 2, Arrow Bomb and Iron Arrow lost the weapon from their names, and the eight Final Attack skills were given a hit count and a duration.

Four new: Mark of the Beta, the Cap of Memories, the Faded Maple Leaf Earrings and the Pumpkin Basket. Five daggers swapped between Thief and Warrior/Thief and changed speed with it, four more gained 2 attack, the Henesys and Kerning City earrings gained MP, and the Burgernet helms are Burgonet now.

305 new: 203 chairs and pieces of housing furniture, 75 consumables (the Founder’s Packages, the Frieren outfit and hair coupons, EXP coupons and event boxes) and 27 etc items. All 87 revised were reworded and five were renamed, two of them into another item altogether: the ids of the Hired Merchants Box and the Atmospheric Effect Box now hold MapleStory Fest gift boxes.

No new scrolls. Twenty-eight weapon scrolls hit harder: Greater went from +3 to +4 and Chaos from +4 to +5, or +6 to +8 and +8 to +10 for magic. Not one success rate moved.

53 new: 35 Citizenship requests, 12 events (Founder’s First Step and the Mark of the Beta chain among them) and six in Ellinia. 59 gone: 43 in El Nath, 15 that lead into and through Forgotten Hollow, and one in Orbis. On the revised ones, 187 EXP rewards rose and 59 fell, and 213 of 218 meso rewards rose.

Nine Arcforge recipes, the Lesser cape, earring and gloves scrolls, cost 20,000 mesos now instead of 10,000, and the two Burgonet helm recipes took the new spelling.

The largest section by count and the smallest by effect: 2,373 new catalog lines and only two of them on sale. Of the 175 revised, 98 went off sale and 29 on, and 162 had their price changed. The 13 removed were unnamed lines with an id and nothing else.
