Closed Online Test 2 → Public Release
Read from the client: the Public Release of 6 October 2026 against Closed Online Test 2 of 11 August 2026, 2,795 additions, 366 removals and 800 revisions. New: Orange Slime and Shade, 6 maps, 309 items with the furniture for two new homes among them, 53 quests and 52 hairstyles and faces. Removed: Ossyria and 3rd job, with 97 monsters, 127 maps, 70 skills and 59 quests, each kept on this site marked CoT2.
The lists, one page each: 309 new items · 2 new monsters · 6 new maps · 53 new quests · everything removed (353). What the release dropped keeps its pages here, marked CoT2: From Closed Online Test 2 (Beta 2). Not in the Grand Launch; kept here as a record..
Two client exports compared field by field, not Nexon’s patch notes, so it shows changes nobody announced. It can’t say why something changed: a typo fix and a rebalance look the same.
Drop rates, shop stock and quiz answers live on the server, so they never show up here. What the release left out of the second test is not missed but listed under Removed: Ossyria and 3rd job among it, which Nexon held back for later. This site keeps their pages, marked CoT2.
Closed Online Test 2 is dated 4 August at the end of the older diff and 11 August at the start of the newer one, and both are right: the first was made from the build the test opened on, the second from the one its 11 August balance maintenance left. What that maintenance changed (Rush’s cooldown went from 3 seconds to 1, for one) is in neither diff.
From the OSMS Data Explorer datamine of 6 October 2026. More on the sources.
305 new: 203 chairs and pieces of housing furniture, 75 consumables (the Founder’s Packages, the Frieren outfit and hair coupons, EXP coupons and event boxes) and 27 etc items. All 87 revised were reworded and five were renamed, two of them into another item altogether: the ids of the Hired Merchants Box and the Atmospheric Effect Box now hold MapleStory Fest gift boxes.
